Theme: Desolation
About the Theme...
Desolation is inspired by destruction and the past to create garments that blend Victorian era, western wear, and utility garments. Taking inspiration from the western and gothic aesthetics found in the trend Ghost Town, Desolation is edgy and has a haunted and rugged look. It blends industrial and structured elements to translate into a steampunk look. These garments reflect the wear and tear of an evolving world that has faced many difficulties. These garments are made of durable materials, pieces of machinery, and other found objects. This collection reflects a post-apocalyptic world, and what can come from it.
This collection is a glimpse into the world we live in today and what it can become . Between natural disasters and a world pandemic, our world has had to toughen up to defend itself. Desolation's garments show how the world can change, from something typical and traditional into unrecognizable and disastrous. These garments reflect an extreme that we hope we don't arrive at, but show the possibility of what is to come. It is up to us to decide if we want to take the path towards desolation and destruction.
